“If every 8-year-old in the world is taught meditation,
we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.”
From Burnout to Presence: The Journey Behind Lost Road Mindful Journey
For years, I chased success through the lens of conventional achievement—climbing corporate ladders in the travel industry, managing Destination Management Companies across Asia from the Philippines to Singapore. Since 1996, I’ve crafted journeys for others while losing sight of my own path. The relentless pursuit of external validation finally brought me to the edge of burnout.
That’s when I rediscovered a forgotten sanctuary: my camera.

Not a fancy DSLR, but the humble phone in my pocket. Through its lens, I began seeing differently. In Hong Kong’s labyrinthine old streets, I noticed how afternoon light sculpted shadows on wet cobblestones. Among Huizhou’s ancient courtyard homes, I captured the poetry of daily life unfolding in weathered doorways. Through Kuala Lumpur’s urban tapestry, I found focus in the rhythm of a tea vendor’s practiced movements. And deep in Malaysia’s rainforests, a single dewdrop on a fern became an entire universe. This became Zen Lens Adventures—my practice of mindful photography.
How It Rewired My Perspective:
• 📸 Focus as Anchor: Framing compositions became my meditation.
• 🌿 Urban to Wilderness: From alleyways to forests, beauty revealed itself everywhere.
• ⏳ Time Expanded: Moments stretched as I observed textures of peeling paint or patterns in moss.
• 💞 Authentic Connections: Sharing images became bridges with locals and nature.

This daily practice transformed more than my photography. It changed how I travel, how I connect, and how I live. The rush to check off landmarks gave way to sitting with fishermen at dawn. Scrolling through feeds yielded to watching clouds move across temple roofs. Mindfulness became my compass, turning ordinary journeys into revelations.
The Ripple Effect: As I shared this evolution on my blog, strangers began reflecting: “Your Hong Kong alley photo made me see my commute differently.” “That forest close-up inspired my morning mindfulness ritual.” Together we discovered that true travel isn’t about miles covered, but presence cultivated.
Where the Path Led: These shared awakenings sparked a question: What if we could design experiences to intentionally create these transformations?

• Living Laboratory: We only offer what we truly practice and believe in.
